Out from the shade of the wattle tree, we emerge with new insight. You may know us for our mushrooms, but we hope to provide so much more.

As Hunter S. Thompson once wisely remarked,“…beware of looking for goals: look for a way of life.”

Our goal so far has been to provide high quality, small batch, locally grown mushrooms - and it has been a pleasure sharing such natural benefits! But don’t the fungi themselves suggest a more expansive path?



Returning to Thompson, he continues,“Let’s assume that you think you have a choice of eight paths to follow (all pre-defined paths, of course). And let’s assume that you can’t see any real purpose in any of the eight. Then, you must find a Ninth Path.”

Our Ninth Path, beyond just mushroom based products, but also soil regeneration, giving renewed purpose to the wood that nurtured our mushrooms.



A Ninth Path beyond what is rigid with decay. A Ninth Path toward a fruitful rejuvenation of both soil and soul. 



We are Ninth Path - Yes, we are changing our name to something that far better encompasses our story, values and interests creating an entity that is organically evolving into an ecosystem of products and services having beneficial microbes at its core - and how they help people and our food.

It will be a gradual change... an evolution. Our labels, website, photos, new products... Most importantly, don’t worry. Our old ways remain the same - all your favourite fungi are still available! But expecting something more, curious and delightful, within your grasp very soon…
